About Us

Barn owls were once common in Cheshire. In 1932 a survey showed there were 240 pairs in Cheshire and a later survey in 1985 showed there was just 35 pairs left. This is one of the highest decline rates in England & Wales. The situation became even more desperate when in 1999 when only 10 pairs were recorded. Our aim is to reverse the decline of the barn owl.
